Alta Major

Located at the back of the head, just above the point where the skull joins the neck, this chakra is connected to the hypothalamus, deep inside the brain, and also the occipital area, which is linked to the optic nerve.

Also known as the “ascension chakra”, “well of dreams”, Zeal point. This is very much connected with vision, spiritually and physically.

When balanced, it gives us the ability to see the spiritual big-picture i.e. all the little pieces of the jigsaw puzzle of life, visibly forming the bigger picture; it enhances intuitive ideas and somehow makes them more solid, tangible and achievable. This is also the working point for those who are telepathically gifted, especially enhancing clairvoyance and seeing into the other realms.

Dis-ease of this area may manifest in eye problems, floaters, cataracts, migraine, headaches and feelings of confusion, ‘dizziness’ or ‘floatiness’, loss of sense of purpose, depression.
